Todd Foundation
The Todd Foundation is the main philanthropic vehicle of the Todd Family and the Todd Corporation. The Todd Foundation provides funding to New Zealand organisations that contribute towards the Foundation’s vision of “inclusive communities where all families, children and young people can thrive and contribute”; with decisions made by a Board that includes both Todd family members and external trustees.
Most of the funding provided by the Todd Foundation supports children, young people, families and communities, however smaller amounts may also be available for tertiary study, arts, science and environmental causes.
Some key achievements include:
- Total funding provided to our communities since inception of almost $32 million.
- Funding has grown considerably over the last decade, with $4.8 million provided to community organisations in 2011.
- A new $2 million fund for earthquake recovery in Christchurch was established in 2011 from company, family and staff donations.
- The Foundation works collaboratively with other funders and currently chairs Philanthropy NZ.
The Foundation is committed to listening and learning from our communities, and to innovative funding practices to enable positive social change.
